Anyone who knows me, knows I use WordPress.
In fact I LOVE WordPress. There, I said it! I’m in love – yes, in love with WordPress. Ah, does Bill know this, your wondering? I’ve been up front and open with him all along about my office romance and being the husband he is, well, for my sake, he looks the other way.
The truth is, it wasn’t love at first sight.
When I first started working with WordPress – WP (that’s my pet name for WordPress) gave me a hard time. It really was all my fault. I rushed in to this thing before I got to know WP. I knew nothing about WordPress, why he does the things he does, what makes him tick. I went into this relationship for one reason and one reason only – I wanted him because he had a reputation for being easy. And because I hadn’t taken the time to learn anything about WordPress, I was continually disappointed, and more than a little frustrated.
WP wasn’t performing for me the way I’d heard he did for all the others.
To put it mildly, the earth didn’t move for me when…you know, when we spent time together. I began to feel irritated and confused. Why couldn’t I make our relationship work? What was wrong with me? My frustration soon turned to anger! That’s when I knew I need help.
I turned to a professional for guidance.
I found a good coach, a counselor of sort, who taught me what I needed to know to make our relationship work. I quickly discovered that WordPress wasn’t hard to get along with at all. In fact, as soon as I knew the simplest things about WP, everything changed! In fact, he quickly started to live up to his reputation of being easy and performed like a dream.
The more I know, the more I love WordPress.
Looking back, it’s obvious to me that I just needed some simple instructions, a few quick and easy lessons about using WordPress. Now we get along beautifully. In case you are wondering…yes WP is so scandalously easy, that I can’t imagine life without it. The truth is more than just my relationship with my blog has changed, but my business has grown immensely.
Since learning to use WordPress, my business has taken off!
I feel more confident in my abilities to do what needs to be done, and if I don’t know how to do something pertaining to my website, I know it will be easy to learn now that I have the basic knowledge. WordPress helps me out all day long. I use WP for blogging of course, but it fits into my business in most everything I do. For instance, WordPress houses my website as well as my blog. I use it for list building, opt-in pages, sales pages, it houses my affiliate program, membership sites, and my products. WordPress is not just for blogging. It’s a very simple but savvy business tool that makes my life much less complicated, lowers overhead and generates revenue.
So yes, I love using WordPress!
If you’re not using WordPress, you’re doing business the hard way. Don’t be intimidated. It’s not that hard. Any one can learn to use WordPress. You just need to learn the basics and you’ll be fine. In fact, once you learn WordPress, a whole new world of business can open up for you.
Make sure you follow my blog, emails and follow me on social media. Something BIG is is about to happen.
OK, you can tell me how what a wing nut I am for comparing my love for WordPress to an affair, but I’m trying to impress upon you that you will love WordPress too. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Oh, I am SO going to bookmark this and share it with my new WordPress clients. They get so excited when I tell them how much I love WordPress and how it has liberated me from dependence on a webmaster, but then when I get them started, we are both reminded that there IS a learning curve, even with WordPress. Thanks for this humorous and truthful post!
