If you know me at all, you know that I try to find free or cheap options for tools and resources that you (my community) need to run your online business economically. I don’t want you to go broke building your business. I’m testing ZD Soft Screen Recorder software. It’s got a free 30 day trial, and it’s only $39 to purchase. That beats the heck out of $300 for Camtasia. I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone so I recorded a video for you to test out the software and show you how HootSuite works, as well. I’m always telling you how much I love HootSuite, so I thought I’d show you what it can do.

Well, I’m a Camtasia gal myself. I just love that software! It’s a 2-for-1 as far as I’m concerned. Not only does it do screen recording, but it’s also a pretty swift video editor, too. But you’re right, it’s on the spendy side, so I only recommend purchasing it when you know you’ll get a return on your investment.
In my case, I used it as a backup recording software when I taught Web Business in a Weekend back in June. And am I ever glad I did! The webinar program barfed on several of my replay recordings, so I was relieved to know that I also had Camtasia running and capturing everything we did.
As far as I’m concerned, Camtasia saved my keister, so it’s already paid for itself!

I totally agree about Camtasia. It is the best and it is inevitable that we will all need it. In the beginning however, ZD Soft is a good inexpensive alternative. It works very fine for screen sharing and recording. Just as well as Camtasia I believe. Just no editor and none of the bells and whistles that makes Camtasia so cool.
great post, thanks for sharing
