So you are tired and exhausted all the time. Good news, you don’t have to like this! In the previous post Is Yeast The Reason You’re Exhausted I told you the causes of yeast overgrowth. In this post we will see 3 ways to fix it.
1. Change your diet. Junk food is your immune system’s enemy. Sugar and refined carbohydrates keep yeast fed in your gut. Yeast thrives on them and creates cravings. Got a sweet tooth? Could be just another name for yeast overgrowth. Those sugar cravings are just another way of yeast saying “Feed me Seymour!” While the video below talks about a 2 week period, it’s gotta be a lifestyle change. Two weeks won’t cut it, but it’s a good place to start.
Besides cutting sugar and refined carbs (bread, pasta, sugar, etc) you should eat more fruits and veggies for natural fiber in your diet.
2. Find a natural way to stop pain and inflammation. If you are like I was, you probably take over the counter and regularly prescribed drugs (Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Acetaminophen, Tylenol and NSAIDS Celebrex, Vioxx, Mobic) like to mask the symptoms of pain causing inflammation. Unfortunately these drugs can cause problems in your gut. They help inflammation to a sore knee or back, but can cause inflammation it in your intestine. This is just one cause of Leaky Gut Syndrome, tiny little tears in your intestinal lining that allows toxins to leak out into your entire system! And you wonder why you feel like crap?
There are a couple of natural supplements that I use for pain and inflammation. I am totally sold on this line of natural products for occasional pain and discomfort, minor aches and pains, when I over do it, have pain, a backache or headache. Natural ingredients found in the sea and the turmeric extract do the trick for me for these issues. I have to be honest and tell you that I had all those symptoms on a daily basis before I became an advocate for natural supplementation and started eating and living in a more healthy way. I very rarely have any of these issues anymore. I also use this curcumin supplement as a means to keep systemic inflammation away. Curcumin is derived from the turmeric plant and very effective.
3. Use a really good probiotic. This is one supplement that even non-believers of supplements should be believing! I can say that my overall health improved once I started using this top quality probiotic within my gut health system. No more IBS, hormones balanced, toe fungus cleared up, bloating and tunny troubles went away. Plus we haven’t had a cold, the flu or a virus in our household since we started taking Probio5 over 3 years ago!

So there you have it. Yeast reeks havoc in your gut and to your overall health. Exhaustion is just one issue caused by yeast overgrowth. Other health issues that can be caused by excessive yeast are migraines, allergies – both food and sinus, skin disorders like eczema or psoriasis, brain fog and auto-immune diseases. In fact there are over 200 illnesses identified so far that can be traced back to an unhealthy gut. Gut health is extremely important. Scientists are now calling your gut “your 2nd brain”. It’s where 70-80% of your immune system lives.
