I’m talking about WordPress plugins.
One of those little critters had me banging my head on my desk for 2 days! Actually, it had my assistant banging hers on the wall, lol. She sent me an email saying so.
Honestly, I already had a headache from aMember. You see, I’ve installed aMember membership software and my assistant Crystal and I have been setting up all of my products on aMember, which has a bit of a learning curve. Once you get it figured out it’s a piece of cake, but until them – head banging. Now that it’s all set up I totally love it and recommend it. I now have a bonafide affiliate program instead of using JVZoo. Yippee!
Anyway, we were having issues with some of the functions of aMember. They worked when we set it up and then suddenly they didn’t. It was making us crazy.
Then I remembered I had installed the WordPress plugin WP-Minify a couple of days before. So I deactivated the plug in and BAM! everything worked like a charm. Problem solved.
Dangit! I was thrilled with how fast WP-Minify made by site! *Sniff, Sniff* Now I have to search for a different solution.
I have to tell say that I have had similar issues with other plugins over the years. So when you blog starts acting up, think of plugins first.
Here are a few suggestions when your blog starts acting hinky…
- Are your plugins all updated?
- Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
- Have you installed any new plugins lately?
- Are you using way too many plugins?
