Increase Your Blog Traffic In 2 Weeks

increase your blog traffic

A while back,  circumstances beyond my control caused me to be less active on The Happypreneur blog and social media than normal. This caused my blog traffic to plummet! So I decided to take the bull my the horn and find ways to drive traffic to my blog quickly.

I told you in the first post of this series a few ways you can increase traffic to your blog like I did in just 2 weeks. Then in part 2 of this series, we talked about a few more ways to get free traffic fast.

We’re gonna wrap up this series with 3 more ways you can increase your blog traffic really really fast like I did. Here are a few more of the strategies I used to build momentum for blog traffic.

I always get really big results with this strategy and it’s so quick and easy to do. It amazes me how effective this little trick really is. First, you should join numerous Linked In groups. Be sure they are active and relevant to your niche. I am in about 30 groups. You can join up to 50. Be sure and go in to the settings of each and adjust your email notifications or you will get email from each of them daily. When using this strategy to increase traffic to your blog, you don’t want 50 emails a day coming in from your groups. Yikes!

So here’s how it works… When you publish a new post, all you have to do is head over to Linked In and add your blog post title with the link then share with groups. It’s really easy. Here’s a screen shot to show you how.linkedin
  •  Re-purpose your blog post on MyNams
I love the benefits of membership at MyNams.com!  Aside form the kick azz training, we also get to sharing our blog posts on the members blog.  I simply copy and paste an excerpt from my original blog post and link back to my post from MyNams.  Takes 2 minutes.  Not only does this drive traffic to my blog it gives me an excellent backlink from an authority site which gives me some Google lovin’.  Pretty cool, huh?
  • Post an article on Biz Sugar
This also gives me some good link juice that send sweet Biz Sugar members back to my blog. Same procedure as the MyNams thing.

As you can see there are lots of free n’ easy ways to increase your blog traffic really really fast. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Have you got a good traffic tip to share? If so, please tell us about it in the comments. We really want to know!

3 More Tips To Increase Your Blog Traffic Really Really Fast

increase your blog traffic

Today’s post is part 2 of my blog series on how to increase your blog traffic fast.  I told you about how my traffic dropped crazy fast in the first post, along with 3 tips on how I revive my blog traffic quickly.  Here are 3 more of the fast acting traffic tips I used to get my traffic back in 2 weeks.

1.  Participate in a Fire Sale, Teleseminar or Niche Appropriate Fund Raiser

All of these will send traffic to your blog as well as add to your email list. I recently participated in a Fire Sale hosted by Kelly McCausey for a friend who needed help raising money to be able to move from her “sick” apartment to a healthy home.  This has resulted in 320 new visits to my blog, 198 new  Happypreneur members added to my sales funnel, my list and hopefully blog readership. I believe this number will grow over the weeks as many more participated that have not collected their merchandise yet.

2.  Host a free webinar

Hosting a webinar is not nearly as scary as it sounds.  There are lots of services out there that make it pretty simple. The one I am currently using is Meeting Burner.  It’s pretty straight forward and inexpensive.   However, I recommend no matter what service you use, that you really practice with it before inviting your list to a webinar, just to work the kinks out.

Offering a free webinar is a great way to create interest in your blog.  This works in a couple of ways.  First, you can collect names and email addresses to grow your list at the same time you drive traffic to your blog, buy putting up an opt in page on your blog for your guests to register to attend the webinar.

You can also post the link to join the webinar on your site and drive traffic there in order to access the webinar. If you record the webinar you can post it on YouTube, embed it on you blog and post the link to it on social media, sending even more traffic your way.

3.  Facebook Event

Creating a Facebook event can really drive traffic to your blog in a big way! I held a virtual mortgage burning party and invited my Facebook friends by creating an event, then promoted the event by posting about it often and then using the “promote this post” feature on Facebook. It cost me $7.00 to promote my post for 3 days.  I sent people back to my blog to register for the party.  This stirred up a good bit of traffic. You could do this with a podcast, webinar, training class, teleseminar or Google Hangout.

As you can see, there are a number of pretty simple things you can do to drive traffic to your blog quickly. It takes a little effort, but it can be done.  Be sure to watch for the next post in this series.

If you have a good tip to drive traffic, we’d love it if you’d share with us.

Thanks for reading!

In other words, you create dynamo content and sprinkle it everywhere you can with the desired result of driving traffic back to your blog. [Read more...]
