Direct sales and network marketing have come a long way, baby! It’s now possible to sit at home in your jammies and build a big business these days…if you know how.
What do you need to do that? Just the basics…
- A computer
- An internet connection
- Social media
- And a blog.
But you also need to learn how to use them effectively to build relationships, create a following and turn those into profits.
One of the first things I tell my clients is “You should be blogging.” Even though your company provides you with a replicated website, if you are determined to grow your business online, that replicated sight just ain’t gonna cut it.
Yeah, it’s great place to send prospects for basic information. But they are not going to get any warm fuzzies and you are not going to build a relationship from your companies website. It’s too impersonal.
It’s also where you send your prospects when they are ready to become customers or sign up to join your team.
After you have a relationship with them.
When you do business in person, from the time you say hello, you have to start that relationship building process, right? It very rarely happens that someone buys from you the first time you meet and tell them about your product or service. It takes time to grow that know, like and trust factor. It’s a bit trickier online.
That’s where a blog comes in. That’s where you grow that know like and trust factor. That’s where you shine!
It doesn’t matter whether your business is in weight loss, health and wellness, skin care, candles, jewelry or legal services. On your blog you can talk to your prospects and recruits one on one, just like I am doing with your right now. There’s no way I could get my point across this well on Twitter – accept to send you from Twitter back to this blog post to read and absorb.
Now, are you starting to see what I mean?
Social media sites are a fantastic way to get followers and let people know what you do – to stay out in front of the masses.
So, by know I hope you are convinced that you should probably look into blogging for your business. However, you may be a little intimidated about how to go about making it happen. No worries!
