You’re posting away on Facebook like a madman or woman, Tweeting like a bluebird and just getting the hang of Google Plus. Now I want you to putz around on Pinterest too?
” Come on Celene, give me break!” Yeah, I just read your mind. Because that’s exactly what I thought. Who needs Pinterest. It’s too fluffy. Well, sometimes it is that, but there is a lot of meaty stuff too. Pinterest is totally about images, but that’s where social media is headed.
Seriously, take a look at your Facebook page stats. The posts with just a sentence or two of text and an image usually gets more reach than text posts alone. We are all so busy that we now quickly scan instead of thoroughly read. Our eyes are drawn to the images. Images grab our attention first. Pinterest is all about images.
Recently I noticed one of my downline team members who hadn’t sponsored anyone for a while, was suddenly sponsoring a couple of new distributors a week. When I asked her what she was doing differently, she said “Pinterest. They’re coming from Pinterest!” That’s when I got serious on Pinterest. I’d been there for quite a while, but never really took it too seriously. Now I do.
Here is an infographic that will give you lots of reasons why you should be using Pinterest in your social media mix. I hope you’ll be a Pinterest convert by the time you reach the end. Please follow me on my Pinterest boards, I’d love to see what you are up to!
