As a network marketer, you are representing life changing products and a great opportunity. You love your products and are a product of the products your company provides. I imagine you are pretty sold on the business opportunity as well or you wouldn’t be there.
You’ve probably spoken to many people in your network marketing company who’s lives have been dramatically changed for the better. Plus seen and heard countless testimonials from others who’ve had life changing results with your products and have built incredible businesses resulting in financial independence.
With all that said, you obviously believe in your network marketing company. So why are you not sharing your products and opportunity with others? You think of someone who’s life could be improved, but you are afraid to talk to them about your business. Afraid they will think you are going to be all salesly on them. You don’t want to piss people off by telling them about your business opportunity. You don’t want them to think you are trying to sell them some overpriced snake oil product, even though you know that’s not the case at all!
You don’t want to be rejected or thought less of because you shared your product and business. Maybe they will think you’re nuts for getting involved in the direct sales network marketing profession. You just don’t handle “no” very well. It makes you feel bad.
So here’s the deal…
IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU!!!
If you have a superior product that can make someone’s life better, it’s extremely selfish not to tell them about. It’s about helping others. It’s not about you. Maybe you have a product that can help a friend or neighbor get healthier and feel better but you don’t tell them about it because you are afraid of rejection. They might think you’re weird.
So what. It’s not about you!
What if you have the solution to someone’s financial woes, but you don’t share it with them because you are afraid of what they’ll think and 6 months later you find out they had to file bankruptcy? Perhaps that wouldn’t have happened if you had shared your opportunity with them.
It’s not about you!
Your job is to share your products and opportunity with as many people as possible, because you have something that others need. Will everyone be interested in your products? Does everyone you talk to have the vision it takes to do this business? No, of course not, and that’s OK. It’s not your job to worry about it if they don’t want what you’ve got. Move on. There are plenty of people in this world who do need what you have to offer. Who are praying for someone to tell them about a great opportunity. If you don’t, someone else will.
If you are in this business for the right reasons, you’ll get over yourself in order to help as many people as you can. You can’t be personally invested in the outcome of each person you share your business with. It’s not about you.
It’s about making a positive difference in as many lives as you can while you are on this planet. Once you start looking at it from this angle rather than what’s in it for you or what will people think about you, your business will morph into something wonderful.
