Email Marketing Tip – Build A Relationship With Your Readers

Guest Post by Susanne Myers

One of the big advantages of building a list is that you can start a relationship with your readers. No matter what niche you are in, people will have to know, like and trust you before they take your advice and make a purchase via your affiliate link.

Let’s talk about how you can start cultivating that relationship. It all starts with getting them to opt into your list.

Start by making them an offer they can’t refuse. Don’t just invite them to sign up for your newsletter or to get regular blog updates. Instead create a free report, record an instructional video or create a coupon code for them. “Sell” the free offer or ethical bribe in your optin box. [Read more...]

How To Get Your Video On Page One Of Google

If you are not tapping into the power of YouTube, you are missing a very important segment of your market.  YouTube is the #2 search engine on the internet preceded only by the big boy himself, Google.

Search engines like Google and Yahoo love diverse content.  If you want to get on their radar quickly you need to diversify your content.  These search engines are all about content and information.  If they can provide their users with someone who has a variety of ways to share that content vs. someone who only uses one way, who do you think they are going to direct them to?  I don’t mean that you should be all over the map with the type of content you are putting out there, but you should have a variety of delivery systems.  You should be using reports, articles, audio recordings, teleseminars, webinars and video to distribute your content and products.  That’s how to get the search engines attention quickly.

When uploading your videos use TubeMogul to list them in several video sharing websites at one time.  This can be a real time saver and will get your video in front of more viewers faster.  If you want to make sure your video gets viewed and catches the search engines attention, this is what I recommend:

Do a search on YouTube for the top viewed videos in your same niche on the same or very similar topic.
What keywords are they using in the title?  Use that same keyword(s) in your title as well.  Make sure you are using an attention grabbing title.
Make sure you give a compelling description.  Always start the description with your website, sales page or blog first.  This will help you drive traffic to a specific destination that’s most beneficial to you.  It also creates a link back to that site or page.
What keywords did they use in their tags?  Use those same keywords in your tags.

I call this the piggy back effect.  Why not use what is working and proven?  I don’t mean you should steal anybody’s content.  I want to make that perfectly clear.  You can be sure Google won’t take kindly to that.  But there is nothing wrong with using the same SEO keywords and techniques.  You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.  In other works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

By using these strategies you could very well find your video in the top ten list very soon.
