Have you been struggling to build your online business? You blog, you comment, you tweet away blasting your website out there for the world to see, then you wait for the stampede of customers and business opportunity seekers to bust the virtual door down. And you wait…and wait. The silence is deafening. The fact of the matter is you have not been promoting your business, you have been spamming and turning off your would be prospects. There are millions, maybe hundreds of millions of these kinds of so called “promotional” links going out onto the world wide web every day. It doesn’t work. It is annoying. It’s disruptive, kind of like a mosquito buzzing around your head that you have to keep swatting at to go away. STOP IT! JUST STOP IT! Your intentions are good, you have a good product, a good business opportunity but you are directing your efforts in the wrong direction. Nothing is ever going to come of it…ever.
Take heart! If you direct your efforts in the right way, you can have the online business you have been working so hard for. You will see results, find new prospects and build your online community. There’s a right way and a wrong way to market your business on the internet. You can learn some easy and inexpensive strategies to build a successful online business. There are tons of good free information out there. Lots of great Internet Marketing Coaches and Mentors are out there ready to help you. Follow these experts, watch what they do and emulate them. I use the 80/20 rule. (OK, sometimes it’s more like 70/30) I converse, retweet, share, inform 80% and sell 20%. That’s a pretty good rule of thumb and if you keep that in mind, you’re on the right track.
