So what’s the difference in good ol’ boy sales tactics and Attraction Marketing? Good question, I’m so glad you asked! 🙂
If you were to ask me “Celene, how do I sell more of my products, recruit more people on my team and make a bunch of money?
“My answer would be, “That’s the wrong question.”
The right question should be…
“How do I use the internet to build more relationships so that I can help more people and ultimately have the chance to expose more people to my products or business opportunity?”
The first question is totally focused on YOUR wants and YOUR needs. How do I get more people to buy MY stuff? How do I get more people into MY downline. It’s all about ME. That’s what so many millions of direct sellers and network marketers on the internet do. You know, the ones that quit because they say the opportunity doesn’t work.
People are sick to death of being pitched to every 2 minutes.
This is the reason MLM has gotten a bad rap. It isn’t the business model. It’s the damage being done by the very marketers who believe in and defend the industry. It’s the very ones who love the products and their company that are creating the negative vibe. But to be fair, it’s not their fault. It’s how they were taught to do it.
What you should be focusing on is…
How can I HELP more people? How can I set myself apart? Create more VALUE for other people – before I ask them for money?
Asking people to buy from you before they even know you is like going up to a strange guy in a bar, grabbing his butt, sticking your tongue down his throat and telling him you want him to marry you so you can have his babies. If he doesn’t run screaming the other way, you might have a tire kicker, if you know what I mean (insert double eyebrow raise here). But he won’t call you the next day.
Attraction marketing is all about giving value and building relationships before you ask people to give you their money. It’s that simple. Will it happen overnight? Nope. It takes a little time to build trusting relationships, but it’s so worth it!
